Setting a Staking plan

How to set a staking plan

As a general rule to get the most out of your bankroll and spread the fun, staking between 2-5% of your bankroll is a good place to start.

If you have a bankroll of £100 a 5% stake would be £5 and effectively gives you 20 bets to play with.

You should adjust your stakes depending on the type of event you are betting on.

Understand the probability of winning

Being able to understand betting odds will allow you to determine the implied probability of a bet winning. This information can help you make a more informed decision when choosing how much you’re willing to stake.

Track your results

Monitoring your results will identify areas where your betting could be improved. This will also help you spot trends in the outcomes, which can be used to inform your future decisions.

Use the tools to help

Using the tools to help is not about restricting yourself, it is about having a safety net which can help mitigate risks and enhance the enjoyment of betting.

Redefine success

Success in betting does not have to be purely financial. The ability to participate and the enjoyment that it brings is just as important. Being able to effectively control your bankroll will allow you to enjoy betting sustainably.
